What the calculators do with what you type

Nothing leaves your browser. Every calculator runs as code on your own device. Your income, filing status and any other figure you enter are never transmitted to this site, never stored, and never seen by anyone. Close the tab and they are gone.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies and uses no browser storage.

Analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, and nothing else. No session recording, no advertising trackers, no social media pixels.

Cloudflare Web Analytics is unusual in that it:

• Sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser’s storage, which is why this site has no cookie banner.
• Does not fingerprint you. It does not build an identifier from your device, screen size or fonts in order to recognise you between visits.
• Cannot follow you to other sites, because there is no cross-site identifier to follow you with.

What it reports back to us is aggregate: how many people viewed a page, which site referred them, rough country-level location, and how quickly pages loaded. We cannot see individual visitors, and we cannot connect a visit to a person.

It does not change the rule above: the figures you type into a calculator are never sent anywhere, to Cloudflare or to us.

Accounts and email

There are no accounts, no sign-ups and no newsletter. There is no way to give this site your email address, other than by emailing us directly.

If you do email us, we have your message and address for as long as needed to answer it. We will not add you to any list or pass your address to anyone.

Hosting, and what a server necessarily sees

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information needed to serve a page and to protect the service from abuse — including your IP address, the page requested, and your browser’s user-agent string. That processing is governed by Cloudflare’s own privacy policy. This information is not used to build a profile of you, and it is not combined with anything else.

Links to other sites

This site links to the IRS, state agencies and other third parties. Once you follow a link, that site’s privacy policy applies, not this one.

Advertising and affiliate links

No advertising runs on this site today. If third-party advertising is added later, those networks may set their own cookies and use them for personalised advertising. This page will be updated before that happens, and will name the networks involved and how to opt out.

Your rights

Because this site collects no personal data, there is normally nothing to access, correct, export or delete. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, ask and it will be. Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK, or the CCPA in California — you may have statutory rights over personal data held about you; the contact page is how to exercise them.

This site does not sell or share personal information, because it does not collect any.

Children

This site is aimed at adults running a business or freelancing. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the “last updated” date above changes with it. Material changes — such as adding analytics or advertising — will be described rather than slipped in.
